Our collective was born from lively discussions in post-work pub gatherings, and finds resonance in the ethos of these spaces. The name combines ‘The Red Lion’, - the most common pub name in the UK - with “The Thin Red Line”, a figure of speech for any thinly spread group holding firm against the odds.

Our collective ideology is deeply intertwined with the conviviality and camaraderie found within communal walls and combined forces. Our current cohort consists of 11 members comprising a diverse group of multidisciplinery artists with a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds - from Japan and Brazil to Ireland, Greece, Romania and the UK.
